OrionStarFX Privacy Policy
This policy describes how OrionStarFX (the “App”) handles information related to your device, system permissions, and the records you enter. By using the App you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, stop using the App and delete it.
1. Who we are and what this covers
The App is provided by the OrionStarFX developer. It is an Efficiency tool for planning inbound cross-border receipt fee paths and reconciling locked quotes with later actuals. This policy applies to the official iPhone and iPad versions of the App and to subsequent updates.
The App is not a bank, payment institution, remittance broker, foreign-exchange desk, or custodian. It does not forecast rates or guarantee fills.
2. Information we handle
The App does not require an account, does not build a user profile, and does not embed advertising identifiers or third-party analytics SDKs.
2.1 Records you enter (stored on device by default)
- Invoice jobs: amounts, currencies, quote date, client notes, and selected lanes;
- Fee templates: percentages, fixed charges, settle days, mid-market and quoted rates;
- Path snapshots, actual receipts, calibration notes, and PDFs you generate;
- Lab preferences such as monthly volume and quiz progress.
2.2 Photos you choose to attach
If you use the camera or photo library to attach a quote screen, bank or platform credit, or fee schedule, the image is compressed and stored in the App sandbox for that record. The App does not upload these photos to a developer server.
2.3 Limited device data
The App does not send your invoices, photos, or lane templates to a developer server. If you share a PDF through the system share sheet, the destination app handles that file.
3. System permissions
- Camera — used only when you photograph a statement, quote, or fee schedule. Declining this permission does not block numeric entry or lane comparison; it only blocks live capture.
- Photos — used only when you pick an existing screenshot. The App does not scan your entire library and does not write images back to the system library.
- Network — not required for calculations, snapshots, or actuals. A connection is used only if you send a file through the system share sheet, or if iOS itself needs one (for example a backup you configure).
You can revoke these permissions in iOS Settings at any time. Revoking them does not automatically delete records already stored on the device.
4. How information is used
- To run fee waterfalls, dual-goal ranking, path locks, and actual reconciliation on your device;
- To generate client-memo or reconciliation PDFs that you may share through the system share sheet;
- To store proof images next to the matching record when you attach them.
We do not use your invoice amounts, client notes, or statement photos for advertising, profiling, or sale to unrelated parties.
5. Storage, backup, and retention
Business records and proof images are stored in the App container on your device. Uninstalling the App deletes that container. If you use iCloud or computer backups, those backups may include files from the sandbox. What is included is controlled by your Apple account and system settings; the App cannot exclude a single file from system backup.
You may delete individual jobs, snapshots, actuals, or lanes inside the App. After deletion, the App no longer retains the matching local files.
6. Other parties
If you share a PDF through Mail, Messages, or another app, the recipient handles the file under that product’s rules. Review the destination before you share.
The App uses Apple system components such as photo picking and the share sheet. Apple’s handling of those services is governed by Apple’s then-current terms.
7. Children
The App is intended for adults who plan inbound receipts. It is not directed at children under 13 (or under 14 where that higher age applies), and we do not knowingly collect children’s personal information. If you believe we hold such information in records we actually control, email the address below and we will delete it after verification.
8. Your choices
Where applicable law allows, you may:
- View, correct, or delete jobs, lanes, snapshots, and actuals in the App;
- Manage camera, photo, and network access in system Settings;
- Stop using the App and uninstall it to clear the on-device sandbox;
- Email questions about this policy to dedodani86@icloud.com.
Because records default to your device, the developer usually cannot retrieve your ledger remotely. When you write for help, do not attach full ID numbers, card numbers, or other people’s sensitive data.
9. Security
The App uses safeguards appropriate for an Efficiency tool: sandbox storage for records and images, and compressed photo files. No electronic store is perfectly secure. Use a device passcode and share exported PDFs with care.
10. International processing
Your invoice ledger is not bulk-exported from the device by the developer merely because you use the App. If law requires disclosure of information we actually hold, we will handle it only as that law allows.
11. Changes
We may update this policy when the product or the law changes, and we will revise the effective date on this page. Material changes may also be noted in an app update. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
